
Mission
The foundations of First Presbyterian Church, from 1849 to the present, remain in an active search for social justice. The Deacons serve the congregation and the greater community through many activities, including:
- the Care and Concern Committee, for those members of the congregation in need;
- our Deacons Fund, which provides financial support for many NGOs (non-governmental organizations) serving the greater Beloit community;
- our promotion of the One Great Hour of Sharing
- the many good works of individual deacons in service to many local groups and in the general conduct of our daily life.
